Vegetarian vs Non-vegetarian Which is better for slim and fit body:

There are many of us who want to lose weight by eating vegetarian. It is definitely possible to be thin by eating vegetarian. Many vegetarians maintain attractive figures. But the reason is not only vegetarianism. The key is calories. A person is bound to be thin if he does not consume excess calories in his diet. If the food is high in calories, whether he eats vegetarian or non-vegetarian food, he will become fat.

Vegetarian vs Non-Vegetarian:

A big misconception of common people is that only protein is non-vegetarian. That’s because we have known since childhood that fish, meat, eggs contain a lot of protein. And fish, meat, eggs are non-vegetarian foods. Because they are proteins from animal sources. That means somewhere in the subconscious mind of common people there is an idea that animal source or non-vegetarian food is protein.

vegetarian vs non-vegetarian which is better

In fact, it is not enough protein from vegetarian food. Chickpeas, rice, soybeans, pulses are such proteins. Now the interesting thing is that milk, curd, chickpeas are also good sources of protein. Milk, curd, chickpeas come from animal sources but we think of milk or milk products as vegetarian.

Functions of proteins:

When the food is broken down into simple food in the biological process in our body, it does not distinguish between vegetarian and non-vegetarian. It knows only protein. As a result, regardless of the source from which the protein comes, its role after entering the body is the same.

However, it is true that there is definitely some difference between vegetable protein and animal protein. For example, nine of the 21 amino acids cannot be obtained from plant sources together. However, animal protein sources contain all nine amino acids. For this reason, animal protein is considered the first class of protein.

And the protein we get from vegetable protein or lentil food, soybean, we call second class protein because it contains less essential amino acids. However, we eat first-class protein or second-class protein the function of two types of protein is to strengthen the body’s immune system, build muscle, repair damage, etc. So the bottom line is that protein is never responsible for a person being skinny or fat.

What is responsible for obesity:

The thin figure or overweight body of a person is basically depends on fat and carbohydrate in the foods that we consume everyday. Basically, the role if carbohydrates in diet are very much responsible for obesity in a person. So we should know how carbohydrates make a person gain weight.

Relation Between Carbohydrates and Obesity:

What are carbohydrate foods? In a word, rice bread, potato sugar and all kinds of sweet food are sugar or carbohydrate food. If you notice, it can be seen that according to the conventional idea, people become fat by eating rice. This idea is not very wrong. If we consume more carbohydrates through our diet than we need it will increase the case of obesity. Especially the risk of obesity increases if a person involves in less physical hard work. Because consuming excess carbohydrates eventually turns into fat and increases weight.

Does Vegetarian Help to Get Slim Figure:

It is true that you can stay slim by eating vegetarian, but it is not just that you will be slim by eating vegetarian. We have to watch what we are taking in our food during vegetarianism. And if we eat more carbohydrate foods, we will be fat rather than thin. Because many people eat vegetarian foods, but the amount of carbohydrates is high in it.

vegetarian vs non-vegetarian which is better for slim body

Like rice, boiled potatoes with rice, fried potatoes, potato curry – this diet is vegetarian but full of carbohydrates or sugars. If the amount of energy that enters the body with so much sugar is not consumed, the weight will increase. Therefore, it is not only by eating vegetarian that you can become thin.

How to cook Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food:

So we may think that eating vegetarian food is not possible to become thin. A person can become fat by eating any vegetarian or non-vegetarian food because protein contains calories. Consuming too many calories in non-vegetarian food or vegetarian food will surely make a person fat. Again, animal protein source of fish, meat, eggs, milk and dairy products contain a large part of fat। So if a person eats excessive amounts of mutton, fish, eggs then fat will enter his body along with protein, and weight will increase.

But not only the quantity of food but also the cooking method also depends on whether a person will gain weight. If you cook with oil, salt, spices, more calories will enter the body than the amount of calories that will enter the body by eating thin fish broth. Because oil contains a lot of fat.

Again, like vegetarian soyabean, which is great source of fiber and protein, some people cook soyabean like meat, with oil, salt and spices. As a result, the fat in that food enters our body in large quantities and weight increases. So oil should be used carefully in vegetarian or non-vegetarian cooking.

This also applies to the use of ghee. Rajma is a vegetarian food, but if you cook it with ghee while making it tasty, it will increase the fat level in the body. Many people use a lot of ghee in bread, roti and in everything. So eating more foods that contain fat content can increase the chances of obesity.

How to cook vegetarian or non-vegetarian food:

  • Reduce the use of oil in cooking in vegetarian or non-vegetarian food.
  • Stop eating fried food.
  • Avoid adding sugar in cooking.
  • Avoid sweet foods.
  • Do not over-roast any vegetable but insist on boiling it.
  • Eat required amount of potatoes, rice, bread but do not take these type of foods excessively.
  • Eat salad every day. Make salad with cucumber, carrot, onion, tomato. Have a salad for lunch. Salad contains a lot of vitamins and fiber. Fiber helps lose fat and maintain a healthy weight.
  • If you take milk, take double toned milk.
  • Keep curd or curd raita in daily diet. We consider curd as a vegetarian food. Yogurt contains a lot of beneficial bacteria. Various studies have shown that the beneficial bacteria in yogurt help maintain a normal weight.

Last words:
